Neighborhood Watch

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM

The Village signs, not standing at the Maple and Gilbert Avenue entrances to our Woods, proclaim that a majority of our residents have agreed to participate in the Neighborhood Watch Program, established by the Village Police Department.  The Board of Directors hopes that everyone will participate for the protection of all.  Participation means merely being alert to notice any strange people, cars, vans, etc. and any unusual activities within the Woods, and to call the police to investigate.  The Board has been assured by the police that they do not mind being called, even if it’s a false alarm!  They prefer being alerted to investigate anything out of the ordinary.  Taking part also means informing our neighbors when we will be away, even for a night or two, so we can all watch out for each other in a true spirit of neighborliness.
